An enlightening animal parade at the Jardin des Plantes

The Jardin des Plantes promises to lighten up your winter with their spectacular night walk lined with illuminated trees and facades and giant light structures – some up to 15-meters high! Designed with the China Light Festival, this first Festival of Lights devoted to “Illuminating species” invites visitors to explore the garden and menagerie in the company of animals, past and present, such as a tyrannosaurus, velociraptor, mammoth, sabre-toothed tiger, white shark (30 m long!), panda, elephant and giraffe. The path is lined with live shows on nature and workshops where children can make and decorate lanterns to take home as souvenirs.
