The Musical Fountains Show is back at the Château de Versailles
For more than 350 years, the Musical Fountains Show has brought the gardens of Versailles to life, revealing the extraordinary beauty of the Château and its gardens, and allowing the public a rare chance to explore the groves. Already at the time of Louis XIV, these leafy spaces were open-air salons reached along secluded alleyways, where they revealed their many surprises…
The fountain waters move to the sound of period music, as your royal stroll unfolds to the tunes of Lully, Charpentier and Rameau – just as they did in the 18th century. New in 2018: the water show of the impressive Neptune fountain, inaugurated by Louis XIV himself, with its ninety-nine jets, constitutes a majestic hydraulic display.
The Musical Fountains Show at the Château de Versailles. Until October 30 from 9am to 6pm.
