Lifestyle Art of entertaining

Le Lido : A festival… every night!

At the Lido, you don’t have to choose between fine dining and premium entertainment – you can have both. At this world-class cabaret, the show is both on stage and on the menu, making it the ideal place to enjoy a five-star meal and a spectacular review. Because combining the good and beautiful is what this legendary Parisian performance space renowned for its spellbinding dancers, extraordinary sets and stunning celebrations is all about. Unveiled last year, the Paris Merveilles review has already achieved cult status. Director Franco Dragone, known for his Céline Dion show in Las Vegas, has reinvented the art of the review by including original numbers such as a sword swallower act and a swan ballet, an artistic ice-skating routine, a hip-hop dancer, acrobats and, of course, the Lido’s celebrated dancers. Sixty artists perform in six hundred feather-and-sequin costumes to the sound of forty-five instruments under three hundred projectors. The Lido’s president, Nathalie Bellon-Szabo, is excited about this fresh approach: “The Bluebells, the feathers, the music, the dinner show: it’s got everything that makes the Lido what it is, but it’s more daring and extravagant, with surprise after surprise revealed at a heart-stopping pace.”

The Peninsula Paris

Peninsula Paris is celebrating Chinese New Year in typically stylish fashion. Welcomed by lanterns and red, yellow, pink and purple scented flowers, guests are treated to colorful lion dances, calligraphy workshops, cookery courses, courtesy trays in rooms including Asian candy and red macaroons with glazing wishing you “Happy New Year” in Chinese, and special menus in each of the hotel’s restaurants, including the legendary LiLi. During this period, clients will be upgraded free of charge or offered a chauffeur-driven ride along the Champs-Élysées in a Mini Cooper when they book a suite. From fine food to treasured traditions, romanticism to generosity, the Peninsula is one of the best places in the capital to celebrate the Spring Festival!
