Eiffel Blomet’s fresh take on Art Deco

Not far from the Eiffel Tower and a short walk from the famous Bal Nègre, renamed the Bal Blomet, where Joséphine Baker once topped the bill, this iconic Art Deco edifice has returned to its original role. Brainchild of a group of hoteliers and talented architects Bruno Borrione and Vincent Bastie, this 4-star establishment is the epitome of style and panache. Celebrated for his work at the Prince de Galles and the Royal Monceau, Bruno Borrione’s reworking of the Thirties golden age gives the building an airier feel. Not only has he infused the hotel’s 78 bedrooms and nine connecting suites with warm elegance, he’s also revived its historic features. His vast and almost identically restored staircase window, for example, is glazed with contemporary stained glass. Guests can relax in the opulent mosaic-lined swimming pool scooped out of the basement and the stunning fitness area, sauna and steam room or stretch their legs in the courtyard transformed into a shady terrace. In short, this hotel puts the 15th arrondissement back on the hotel map.
