After an advertising campaign in 2015, R’n’B superstar Rihanna and Dior are presenting a new line of sunglasses. According to the singer and fashion icon, she drew her inspiration for their design from the visor worn by Star Trek character Geordi La Forge. The result? Frames with a futuristic-glamor effect that reflect both Rihanna’s visual style and the codes of the avenue Montaigne fashion house. After a teaser campaign seen in May by Riri’s 40 million followers on Instagram, the collection – simply entitled ‘Rihanna’ – is now available in Dior’s stores and from the fashion house’s e-shop. After her work with Puma, presented at New York Fashion Week in February, the star is continuing to explore the fashion world and clearly plans to achieve the same success in our dressing rooms as she has in the charts. Her sunglasses are available in six metallized colors (silver, pink, blue, green, red and an ultra-luxury 24-carat gold-plated version) and are bound to be one of this summer’s must-have accessories from Bali to Saint-Tropez and naturally – Barbados.
