Chinese Lunar Year Dior Creative Liberty

A mix of tradition and cutting-edge design, east and west, the Liberty print issued by Dior to celebrate the Year of the Pig embraces and merges Franco-Chinese cultures. It is inspired by the “Colifichets” print designed by Victor Grandpierre, decorator and friend of Christian Dior, which lines the walls of his first boutique at 30 avenue Montaigne. Part of a capsule collection, it features floral arabesques – including hydrangeas, emblem of beauty and gratitude – on Lady Dior, Diorama, Saddle and Dior Book Tote bags, leather accessories, charm bracelets and some ready-to-wear items. The flamboyant red chosen by Dior symbolizes happiness, joy and prosperity in China.
