Dior Homme A capital address

An ideal setting to discover the extensive collections designed by Dior Homme’s creative director, Kris Van Assche, the couture label now has its very own Paris store for men.

After Milan, New York, Tokyo, Shanghai and fifty other cities around the world, Dior Homme has opened its first exclusive store in Paris. A perfect mix of strategy and symbolism, its address – 24, rue François-Ier – at the heart of the city’s prestigious Golden Triangle, is just a short hop from 30 avenue Montaigne where the label’s flagship store has enthralled passers-by since it was founded by Christian Dior in 1946. This corner boutique is also just a stone’s throw from the new studios and workshops of its men’s division on rue de Marignan. A mix of couture and the personal touch of creative director Kris Van Assche, the layout and interior design perfectly reflect the Dior Homme spirit.
Spread over two floors, the boutique immediately plunges visitors into the label’s universe. Modern dandies will instantly recognize the celebrated Dior gray offset with black leather, wood, stainless steel, quartz effect resin and natural wood. The first floor is dedicated to accessories and shoes while on the second floor, visitors can explore Dior Homme’s ready-to-wear collection and a salon devoted to its demi-measure, made-to-measure and personalization services. Kris Van Assche has chosen a selection of models – fourteen suits, two overcoats, and fifteen shirts – that can be tailor-made in a vast range of sophisticated materials. Clients see a stylist for advice and a master tailor for measurements, then select the finish and fabric, before the atelier runs up their order. Adjustments and finishing touches are made five to eight weeks later, with just another week to wait before the garment is finally ready. Shoes, bags and small leather items are by no means neglected. Accessories “that change everything” can be customized in stunning classic leather and exotic hides. The Derby François 1er, Dior’s iconic shoe, is now also available as made-to-order: again, a dedicated stylist helps clients chose from hues of red, cognac and blue, select an outsole colored to match the fine leather upper, and decide on the finish, shaded patina and Goodyear stitching, which are all hand-crafted. Each pair takes four to five months to make. So whether you’re more ready-to-wear or made-to-measure, Dior Homme’s new address is a modern vision of men’s luxury wear.
