Bistros

Le Bon, la Butte,

While this restaurant’s clever name may seem incomplete, you won’t be left short when you visit this new location perched on the Butte Montmartre between the Moulin de la Galette and Place du Tertre. This neo bistro is the brainchild of four friends – mostly self-taught – who wanted to celebrate their shared passion for gastronomy in a place that reflects the kind of people they are: friendly and relaxed. The four bons vivants, Domenico, David, Thibaut and Raphaël, thus took over this local bar and transformed it into a charming neo bistro that serves simple, but excellent fare, prepared exclusively with fresh, unprocessed and seasonal ingredients: refreshing avocado tartar with wasabi and flaked crab with citron (€10); marinated and grilled top rib of US Black Angus beef, grenaille potatoes and chimichuri sauce (€18): incredibly flavorful meat. Come dessert, don’t miss the hazelnut sablé biscuit with creamy Amalfi lemon and Italian meringue (€9), like a beautifully revisited lemon meringue pie. To wash all these delicious dishes down, follow the sound advice of Domenico, who loves to say, “when it comes to wine, trust me!” He’ll know just the right bottle or glass to pair with your choice. Prix-fixe menu at €35. Sunday brunch at €27 from noon to 3pm.
