L’Oiseau Blanc

On the seventh floor of the Hôtel Peninsula, L’Oiseau Blanc is the only restaurant of its kind in Paris. With a glorious view over the Paris rooftops, the Eiffel Tower and the replica of a biplane suspended over one of the hotel courtyards, L’Oiseau Blanc has taken off gastronomically. In a decor that recalls man’s conquest of the skies (aircraft engine, riveted aluminum walls, photographs of airplanes, etc.), chef Sidney Redel delivers elegant French cuisine that bridges tradition and innovation. You can sense that the efforts made over the past months are paying off, in the rigorous selection of ingredients and modern presentation of a cuisine that showcases the products. Guests can opt for Douarnenez crab seasoned with tamarillo, button mushroom and Thai grapefruit remoulade, or French veal shank and frog’s legs from Monsieur Artus prepared as a traditional blanquette. The delicious desserts – Vesuvio lemon, honey and Limoncello freshness – have, like the dishes, shot to gourmet heights. L’Oiseau Blanc also boasts a magnificent terrace with several tables proposed to the first arrivals. Lunch prix-fixe menus at €59, €69 and €109; dinner menus at €109 and €129. Lobster menu at €159.
