Café de l’Homme

The restaurant at the Musée de l’Homme has reopened in a new Art Deco setting by Gilles & Boissier. In addition to seating for 120 in the dining room, there is now a mezzanine that serves as a private lounge for 16, and, more importantly, a gigantic terrace that seats up to 300 with a breathtaking view over the Eiffel Tower and the Champ-de-Mars. A true promise of happiness in the sunny days to come! Still at the head of the establishment, Coco Coupérie-Eiffel and Christophe Bonnat wanted to bring a more gastronomic touch and thus asked starred chef Frédéric Vardon to concoct a menu that captures the spirit of the times, presented by executive chef Mickaël Foubert. The verdict? An attractive menu with a happy blend of flavors from near and far: a tasty casserole of lightly sautéed Obsiblue shrimp, served in a Thai herb bouillon with just a touch of spice (€21), a tender veal filet mignon with spinach, mascarpone and truffle (€38) that goes down nicely, followed by a peppy lemon-bergamot cheesecake (€14)… You can come as early as breakfast or later into the night to enjoy a light snack for around twenty euros from the brasserie menu. Remarkable selection of wines, with bottles starting at €33. Needless to say, things are getting off to a good start: the restaurant is already filled with bobos looking for the latest hot spot and tourists on the hunt for great Parisian locations.
