Fashion Chinese Spring

 Printemps Haussmann : Chinese spring

The rooster is both France’s national emblem and the zodiac sign of the Chinese New Year, rather neatly summing up the ties that bind France to its Asian friends. Internationally renowned as a quintessentially French department store, Le Printemps Haussmann, and its outpost at the Louvre, is keen to get in on the action. To celebrate the new lunar year, two areas have been garlanded with lanterns and decorated with roosters, and the store will be handing out gifts – fortune cookies and “secret” red envelopes – and selling items selected especially for the pleasure of Asian customers until February 19. Chopard, Christian Louboutin, Kenzo, Pierre Marcolini, MCM and others have all created products for the New Year. With Alicia Aylies, Miss France 2017, opening this two-week festival of fun, Le Printemps Haussmannn is pulling out all the stops to celebrate Franco-Chinese friendship.

GUCCI : Adopt the rooster style

Fashionistas can really strut their stuff this spring thanks to Gucci’s rooster range, which includes a bag and small leather goods, headscarves, a hair band, keyrings and sneakers. The symbol of the tenth sign of the Chinese zodiac, the rooster spreads its wings across two silk headscarves and shines on keyrings, where its tail is set with Swarovski crystals and its breast is proudly emblazoned with a Gucci pearl logo. The Dionysus bag has returned in a red version and with ramage detailing, first seen in the winter 2016 ready-to-wear collection. To add a finishing touch to any casual chic outfit, the Ace sneaker, one of Gucci’s most popular sports shoes, now features a finely embroidered rooster.

Galeries Lafayette : Limited editions for Chinese New Year

Galeries Lafayette has Asia in its sights as it marks the Year of the Rooster and Chinese New Year. So get your Chinese shopping list at the ready! Start by admiring Brillant Lunar, an exclusive limited edition of Brillant, the iconic handbag designed by Delvaux in 1958, resplendent with red detailing. Next, pick up a Bobbi Brown Skincare Trion set with three pummeling and pampering products before treating yourself to a Kiehl ultra-facial limited edition cream with its unmistakably Asian packaging. To add a finishing touch, pucker up for Tom Ford’s set of four lipsticks. Temptation, temptation.

Michael Kors : Crowing at Kors

The Michael Kors brand definitely has something to crow about this spring after adding a pretty rooster to its leather goods range in the form of a keyring featuring this traditional good-luck symbol. Now you can really start the Year of the Rooster in style!

Shang Xia : Coop hoop

Launched in 2010 to bring Chinese luxury craftsmanship to the world, Shang Xia, in which Hermès International is a majority stakeholder, has cast a fresh eye over the year of the rooster. Rather than a faithful reproduction, Shang Xia has used origami techniques to create a contemporary red metal charm bracelet. Pretty, understated and modern.
