It’s been a decade since the sneaker became an essential fashion item.
Shoppers can now choose from models by top luxury brands – Gucci, Saint-Laurent, Dior and the like – and, to keep ahead of the fashion curve, pairs made by exclusive partnerships or as limited editions by three leading brands: Nike, Adidas and Reebok. From Nike x Off White to various Yeezy boost models (Adidas and Kanye West) to Reebok x Gosha Rubchinskiy and the super exclusive Adidas x Pharell x Chanel (500 pairs, only available by drawing lots at Colette), the limited edition sneaker is now an integral part of its wearer’s DNA. Keen to share the love, the ever-expanding BHV Marais has opened a new concept store devoted to men’s sneakers – 14Temple. This 100 sq.m. space with red brick walls, furnished and decorated with leather sofas, vintage suitcases, a bicycle, plants and industrial furniture aims to channel the sneaker zeitgeist by supplying exclusive models and mounting a watch to select the most sophisticated styles of the moment.
