First urban wine store since 1970 with Winerie Parisienne

There are more than two hundred urban wineries – where grapes are turned into wine – around the world, but not even one in the capital of the world’s biggest wine producer, Paris, since 1970. This surprising fact led Adrien Pelissié and Julien Bengué to create the Winerie Parisienne in 2015. Opened in the 11th arrondissement, the Winerie Parisienne aims to bring wine back to the heart of the city and the lives of its residents with a wine store combining craftsmanship and innovation. After supervising the harvest of its favorite grape varieties, the Winerie is hoping 2016 will mark the start of a new era, when wine is made and grown entirely in and around Paris. Their goal is to bring about a renaissance in wine-growing in the Ile-de-France region from 2017 and create wines produced entirely from grapes grown in the Paris area from 2021. In the meantime, the first wines produced and bottled by the Winerie Parisienne, the Grisant (sauvignon for white and merlot for red) or Rosé (grenache and cinsault) are available from selected wine sellers or to purchase on guided tours by appointment.
