Dior recently opened a pop-up store at 326 rue Saint-Honoré, in the 1st arrondissement of Paris. There’s no word yet on when the store is expected to close, but we do know that it’s exclusively devoted to the exceptional fragrances in La Collection Privée Christian Dior. Whereas everyone is familiar with Dior’s most popular scents, the more exclusive fragrances in La Collection Privée are less well known. The collection’s sixteen scents composed by François Demachy, Dior’s Perfumer-Creator, are available in the store, which enjoys a streamlined black and white lacquer décor. Displayed in bottles of iconic modernity, each perfume is a bold alchemy of scents. Bois d’Argent combines powdery iris with musk, while the mysterious Ambre Nuit is an unexpected blend of rose wrapped in grey amber. Dior’s hallmark color can be found in Gris Montaigne, a surprising and modern chypre fragrance, while Fève Délicieuse, the latest addition to La Collection, unfolds in warm, slightly bitter notes of Venezuelan Tonka beans.
