Chaumet exhibition: Brillantes Écritures

As its store on place Vendôme gets a little beauty treatment, Chaumet, founded in 1780, has opened a pop-up space in a private mansion in Saint-Germain-des-Prés where a stunning exhibition celebrates its natural affinity with the world of letters. Chaumet has inspired and charmed many great writers, including Alexandre Dumas, Colette, Balzac, Musset, Louise de Vilmorin, and Marie-Laure de Noailles. “Brillantes Écritures” explores this relationship through a dialogue between historical jewels, literary works, drawings, photos and archive documents. The first of two other exhibitions scheduled for this temporary venue, Brillantes Écritures is an opportunity to admire legendary pieces of jewelry and to discover the many mentions of Maison Chaumet in famous works of literature. Fascinating.
