La Mouette Rieuse
470 sq. m. of surface area on three levels: La Mouette Rieuse (The Laughing Seagull) is a new kind of bookstore. Its three levels and three ambiences are all devoted to books, creativity and art. On one side, visitors enter the store through a regular street corner entrance; on the other, a vast wood and steel framed window facade leads to the Rosiers-Joseph Migneret gardens. Outside and inside is a café seating 39, the perfect place to relax with a drink or sit down to a meal before choosing one or more of the 39,000 works on sale or opting for a moment of contemplation on the top floor, dedicated to exhibitions. The Mouette Rieuse joins the spectacular flight of two other Parisian establishments: Le Merle Moqueur (The Mocking Blackbird) and Le Gai Rossignol (The Merry Nightingale).
