Giving honey the luxury treatment

Alexandre Stern is a “honey creator”. A sort of wine-taster of the honey world, he has taken a dose of gastronomy and a hint of luxury and mixed them together to create his first store close to the place de la Madeleine. Stern seeks out “vintage” honeys from around the world, inventing new flavors that strike the perfect balance between sweetness and tanginess, mildness and spiciness. Like a perfumer, he has collected more than 600 varieties of honey, pairing them with lavender, orange blossom, etc. to the instant delight of top chefs. Le Miel des Merveilles is his first honey aimed at the public, to sample with dozens of others in this store with a delightful mauve and blue frontage.
