Les Petits Donuts, donuts with a French touch
Surrounded by equally tantalizing stores and just yards from Cyril Lignac’s Chocolaterie, Les Petits Donuts is a new kind of single-product store. The dough is not fried, as it usually is, but cooked in the oven and poached. The texture, which is similar to a madeleine, is rather surprising. The recipes have been developed by French pâtisserie champion Gabrielle Jones. The flavors – chocolate and hazelnut, salted butter caramel, olive oil and lemon, and passion fruit, rum and ginger – are wonderfully original. The brand’s four partners embarked on their adventure in a kitchen in the 11th arrondissement where they made their celebrated donuts to order or for special events. But now, the store enables visitors to enjoy their products on the premises with a range of eco-friendly and fair-trade ChariTea drinks, Le Chocolat des Français chocolate bars and Confiture Parisienne preserves to complete the taste experience.
