The Grand Palais will this month set the scene for the second season of “Taste of Paris”: a celebration of the finest gastronomic fare in Paris, its producers and artisans. Like a restaurant, Taste of Paris is open for lunch from 11am to 4pm and dinner from 7pm to 11.30pm, and offers over 60 signature dishes and original creations by gastronomic legends, starred chefs, emerging names, faces to watch and chef authors. Among the 18 chefs involved are Romain Meder (executive chef at Alain Ducasse’s Plaza Athénée restaurant), Guy Savoy, Pierre Sang, Daniel Morgan, and the pastry chef of the moment, Yann Couvreur (Hôtel Prince de Galles). This prestigious festival is organized around a packed program of fun events – workshops, demonstrations, tasting-stand shows – and special activities for children on Saturday, March 12. Don’t miss Laurent-Perrier’s monumental plant bar serving vintages including Laurent Perrier brut millésimé 2006, Grand Siècle and Cuvée Rosé, where lovers of the finer things in life can celebrate the French art of living. Cheers!
