Boats and riverbanks best places

Now closed to traffic, the banks of the Seine are lined with bars and restaurants with terraces, plus a host of street-food stalls. Among the most famous on the left bank is Le Faust which runs from the abutment of the Alexandre III bridge to the waterfront. The terrace of the nearby Flow, a ship with a roof deck, doubles as a concert hall, club, café and restaurant. On the right bank, opposite the Ile Saint-Louis, Les Maquereaux, a barge with a terrace, serves seafood and cocktails. A little further upstream is Concrete, a barge club with terrace where electro fans can dance from dawn till dusk and beyond. Moored on the quai d’Austerlitz, the Off Paris Seine floating hotel opens with La Mer à Boire, a 500 sq.m. terrace which gives pride of place to seafood. Don’t miss the Thursday evening concerts. Downstream, at the foot of the pont de l’Alma, facing the Eiffel Tower, the rooftop of the Compagnie des Bateaux-Mouches pier – which is celebrating its 70th anniversary – has been transformed into Mademoiselle Mouche, a place to sip cocktails to DJ sets or to tuck into brunch on Saturdays and Sundays.
