La Terrasse Park Hyatt Paris-Vendôme

With the arrival of sunny days, La Terrasse of the Park Hyatt hotel becomes the place to meet in the open air at Place Vendôme and Rue de la Paix. Set in a lovely white marble courtyard, it boasts a menu concocted by Jean-François Rouquette, the talented chef of Les Orchidées and Pur’. Featured dishes include green asparagus from Mallemort with baby herbs, red sorrel zabaglione (€38) or sea bass and finger lime carpaccio (€35), followed by codfish cooked in its juices with soy butter (€50) or “black market” sirloin steak (€70). Highly creative dishes that lead beautifully into one of the desserts (€17) by Jimmy Mornet, or a refreshing plate of red berries and fruit (€25). Bagels, burgers and a selection of salads including Caesar salad are available from the snacking menu throughout the day. Come sundown, the terrace becomes one of the capital’s hottest nightspots with a splendid menu of cocktails and tapas that draws a young and hip clientele.
