Madonna
Madonna, initiated by Eva-Louise and Alex Laporte, deviates from the usual image of Italian restaurants to offer authentic and refined cuisine, akin to real osterias across the Alps. Named after the Madonnina sculpture, a protective emblem of Milan, Madonna stands out for its commitment to quality products, mostly imported directly from Italy (olive oil from Masseria Santa Venia, Parma ham from salumeria Bedogni Edigio…). Sicilian chef Danilo D’aquila and executive chef Stéphane Mangin collaborate to provide a menu true to Italian tradition, with dishes such as antipasti misto (€9), ossobuco alla milanese (€29), or homemade ravioli filled with pumpkin and potato, grated provolone (€21). Madonna also emphasizes seasonal respect, evidenced by the absence of tomatoes in winter in favor of more comforting dishes. The pastry section, led by Margaux Bataille, offers authentic desserts like tiramisu (€14) prepared tableside. The wine list, developed with Bonte di Vino, features a selection of small estates and great Italian wines. The decor, designed by Véronique Laporte, mother of Eva-Louise and Alex, combines the traditional setting of a Milanese brasserie with contemporary and warm elements, such as fringe chandeliers and Roberto Ruspoli’s frescoes. Madonna thus offers an authentic culinary experience in a friendly and refined atmosphere.
