Titanic, reimagined
On April 15, 1912, the Titanic struck an iceberg and sank into history, taking more than 1,500 lives with it. More than a century later, the tragedy continues to fascinate, and La Villette’s latest immersive exhibition invites visitors to relive the story on an unprecedented scale. Equipped with virtual reality headsets, guests navigate 3,000 square meters of reconstructed spaces, exploring the ship’s decks, the legendary grand staircase and even the orchestra’s final performance before the sinking — all through the fictional perspectives of passengers onboard. The emotional climax comes in the form of authentic objects and memorabilia from James Cameron’s cult film, some displayed publicly for the very first time. An experience designed to overwhelm as much as immerse.
