Peter Joseph’s works always carry far, very high, in the air and light. “Painting is not just about color,” says the artist… I’m trying to paint the atmosphere.” For this fourth exhibition, the gallery presents two huge works accompanied by studies made in the British workshop of Stroud, near Gloucestershire. Here, the soft gesture of the hand releases the composition and reveals unpainted zones of silence. Peter Joseph caresses the canvas or cotton of colors. Just incredible hues of blues and violets that border on fullness. A good taste of events taking place in London and Brussels.
