A very icy summer
Gourmet Ice Cream
In 1992, Gérard Sanchez set up the first artisanal ice cream creation and production workshop in Saint-Malo before selling it shortly after. In 2014, Sylvie Bondil discovered the company and decided to create her own ice cream brand, she bought the lab in 2016 and asked Gérard Sanchez, then retired, to come back and create ice cream. This is how Moustache was born. For nearly ten years, the brand has experienced considerable growth with about thirty points of salein France and even in New Caledonia. At Moustache, the watchword is indulgence, as demonstrated by the five new flavors of 2023: Mille-feuille, Petit Écolier, Black Forest, Mocha Chocolate Coffee, and Acai. Quite a program!

Oriental Ice Cream
In Paris, in the summer, the streets are more or less deserted. Except near the two addresses of the Bachir ice cream parlor. In 2017, the famous Lebanese brand from Bikfaya made a remarkable arrival with its first store in the Rambuteau district. Parisians and tourists quickly flocked to discover ice creams as aesthetic as they are ethical. Because at Bachir, organic is king. It’s hard to resist the house’s star, achta ice cream coated with crushed pistachios. Something tells us that like many others before you, you’ll want to make it an Instagram post.

3 QUESTIONS TO OLLIVIA BERDAH CO-FOUNDER OF FRUTTINI BY MO
What are the season’s novelties?
We have just developed a frozen dessert that combines four essential summer flavors: strawberry, tomato, raspberry, and basil. Not to mention our collab’ with Jeremy Delval, Dal- loyau’s executive chef and champion of France’s dessert. Together, we have developed a new frozen recipe around strawberry, which is called “Wild Herb Frozen Strawberry”.
What are the most popular products at Fruttini?
Obviously, strawberry wins all the votes, and our customers never tire of discovering or rediscover ing it. In another genre, passion fruit and lemon meet a success that does not weaken.
What fruits would you like to decline in an ice cream version in the future?
We are always looking for new recipes to test. Some are a little more technical than others. Recently, we revisited the tangelolo, which is a mix of small clementine and grapefruit. Trying it means adopting it.

Cinematic Ice Cream
When one thinks of Terrence Hill, one inevitably thinks of the star actor of spaghetti westerns. But since 2017, the Italian-American has added another string to his bow: entrepreneur in the ice cream sector. In the past, Girotti was an ice cream parlor run by his great-uncle in the village of Amelia, in Umbria. After the latter’s death and the closure of the historic shop, the star wanted to take up the torch. After reopening the Amelia store and inaugurating two locations in Germany (Dresden, Berlin), it was in Paris that Terrence Hill opened his first French branch in the Montparnasse district, in 2022. His tiramisu ice cream is already a classic!

Kawaii Ice Cream
A scoop of ice cream deep-fried? No, it’s not a joke, but an original (and devilishly greedy) concept that can be found at Café Isaka. Opened at the beginning of 2023 in the Palais Royal district, the brand offers a beautiful selection of ice creams whose flavors instantly transport the visitor to Japan (matcha, black sesame, azuki…). Once the flavor is chosen, it is then coated with panko (Japanese breadcrumbs), then fried to the minute and topped with delicious toppings. Trying it means already adopting it.
