The family history of David Benedek has always immersed him in the world of perfumery. Seven years ago, he took the plunge and launched Maison BDK Parfums, collaborating with prominent noses to create a unique olfactory universe, now comprising four collections – Parisienne, Matières, Azur, and Exclusifs – and about twenty fragrances. The time has come for Benedek to have his own boutique to unveil his sensory imagination. He has recently opened a bright and airy 60 sq.m. space on Rue Saint-Honoré, designed with Burgundy stone, concrete, and travertine. From the street, the large bay window showcases an impressive olfactory library that rises five meters high, where perfumes are displayed in studied minimalism. The space includes a sales area, a lounge for scent discovery, and even a mini-bar for added conviviality, all spread over three levels in a high-ceilinged, wall-less location. To celebrate this opening, nose Alexandra Carlin has composed a new chapter, 312 Saint-Honoré, a sensual woody mineral musk.
