Montblanc, Une nouvelle étoile sur les Champs-Elysées

The contemporary design and classical elegance of the Montblanc store on the Champs-Élysées, recently renovated by designer Noé Duchaufour Lawrance, reflects the brand’s spirit and knack for striking just the right balance between heritage and modernity.

One is the most famous avenue in the world. The other is an eminent men’s luxury accessories brand with a peerless reputation built on one hundred years of experience, expertise in excellence and outstanding design. Written in ink and dreams, the love story between the Champs-Élysées and Montblanc could not be more inspiring. And the renovation of its flagship store at 152 avenue des Champs-Élysées last May marked the beginning of a new chapter in this story. Reimagined by French designer Noé Duchaufour Lawrance, famous for his organic-shaped creations inspired by Japanese designs, this welcoming and bright 166 sq. m. outlet confirms the label’s status as a “Maison of Smart Luxury Lifestyle”. From its early writing instruments to watches, leather goods, jewelry and even perfume, in a tradition unbroken since 1906, that’s exactly what Montblanc has created.

Lined with exposed-wood and carbon-lacquer display cases, this store brings Montblanc’s world to life and celebrates its primary source of inspiration – the culture of writing – from the ink bar to the calligraphically curved retail space to the Collectors Corner and its outstanding editions dedicated to Andy Warhol, Leonardo da Vinci and Albert Einstein, to the black lacquer wall panels inspired by the resin of Montblanc pens. The leather workshop sheds light on its most recent designs, including the Montblanc Meisterstück Selection Unicef, whose bags, wallets and covers help raise money for Unicef’s education programs. The Watch Gallery is a showcase for timepieces such as the Heritage Spirit Orbis Terrarum models (all proceeds go to Unicef), Summit Smartwatch, Montblanc’s first smart watch, and TimeWalker, as worn by the brand’s muse, Hugh Jackman at the most recent Salon International de Haute Horlogerie de Genève (SIHH). Generous, elegant and bold, this star-studded brand continues to shine in the creative heavens, writing the next chapter in a legendary history inextricably linked with the city of Paris – a history that says “Paris, je t’aime”
