The Chouettes at the Carreau du temple

Opposite the Carreau du Temple, the Chouettes restaurant – a chic new eatery in the upper Marais – is hands down the place to be this fall. From breakfast to dinner to Sunday brunch, once you’re inside the staff do everything to make sure you never want to leave, from the bright, cheery second-floor bar to the third-floor library, where you can cozy up with a book by the fireplace!

But first, try their traditional dishes with a twist (this is the upper Marais after all) made with organic farm and ocean produce such as beetroot ravioli with humus, ash-rolled Saint-Maure crème, or brie de Meaux mousse under the friendly, attentive eye of the serving staff, who really look like they want to be here – so rare it’s worth a mention!

A typically Parisian food joint the capital can be proud of.
