A taste of fall With Christophe Michalak

Head pastry chef (Hôtel Plaza-Athénée in Paris) and TV star Christophe Michalak has opened his own pastry store in the Marais, right next to the Galerie Azzedine Alaïa. Hot on the heels of his Michalak Masterclass school, launched in September 2013, the winner of the Coupe du Monde de Pâtisserie 2005 offers customers a wealth of sweet delights, from his signature Kosmiks to his surprising Fantastiks – a cake that has to be round and 18cm in diameter, but which leaves everything else to the imagination – plus his quirky chocolate bars. Or why not indulge yourself in his signature desserts: the religieuse (a frosted cream puff with salted butter caramel), the baba, a meter-long millefeuille, or one of the chef’s other surprises.
