A simple and seasonal menu to enjoy in a green patio

Welcome to the next square in the New Athens district in Sopi: Le Ballu! Julia Vidalenc, a hotel pro, and her husband Thomas Vidalenc, designer architect, opened this hotel four years ago in an old 19th century building that once housed the offices of the Sacem and the Studio des Variétés. A chic and trendy gem, after a complete renovation, the hotel has a restaurant with a magnificent Art Deco room with marble floors, elegant tables and a large central pillar. But the real treasure is the charming green patio at the back, where you can relax in a bucolic setting. With its lush plants, light wood furniture, blue lacquer tables and comfortable benches, you can enjoy this small corner of para- dis in any season thanks to the large heaters. But let’s also talk about the plate! The restaurant offers tasty and modern cuisine, with dishes such as a meal and celery remoulade (20 €), delicious shrimp roasted with Thai herbs accompanied by an exotic sauce (26 €). For dessert, do not miss the pleasant red fruit pavlova (18 €). And to accompany your dishes, just choose from a short but good selection of wines by the glass. Courteous and smiling service. _ PATIO
