Les Deux Magots expands its legacy
A true Parisian institution since it opened in the late 19th-century, Les Deux Magots (named after the two Chinese figurines that once adorned its original façade) has long been a beloved fixture of Saint-Germain-des-Prés, withstanding the test of time. Now, the iconic café, still haunted by the ghosts of Ernest Hemingway, Raymond Queneau, and Jacques Prévert, is expanding its offerings. In addition to its timeless literary café, Les Deux Magots has introduced the Comptoirs Les Deux Magots, just a four-minute walk from the historic location on Rue de Buci. This modern spot offers a cozy place to enjoy a drink, either inside (14 seats) or outside, and savor refined sandwiches, composed salads, and other hot or cold dishes made with “carefully sourced ingredients”. Perfect for the local or cosmopolitan crowd, the busy on-the-go clientele can also opt for takeout.
