Buccellati, silver in motion
Beyond its celebrated jewelry lies another expression of Buccellati’s identity: silver. With Aquae Mirabiles, the Maison brings this discreet heritage back into the light, revealing the depth and precision of its orfèvrerie. Conceived as an immersive installation looking like a Water Theater and retracing the history of Italian caviar, the project is curated by Federica Sala and brought to life by Balich Wonder Studio, with the distinctive contribution of Luke Edward Hall. Through his watercolor drawings, the artist gives form to a world suspended between myth and memory, where classical references meet a more fluid, contemporary imagination.
At the heart of this vision lies the Caviar collection. Its signature motif – composed of countless hand-crafted silver spheres – embodies Buccellati’s unique approach to material and light. More than a decorative language, it reflects a discipline of gesture, a pursuit of precision, and a continuity rooted in the great Italian goldsmithing tradition. Through this installation, Buccellati does not simply present a collection – it reframes it. The art of the table, often overshadowed by the Maison’s jewelry, emerges here as an essential chapter of its history, where craftsmanship becomes ritual and object becomes experience. For this collection, Andrea Buccellati has reinterpreted the sphere motif, giving it a fresh expression. For those wishing to extend the discovery beyond Milan, Buccellati’s silver creations and tableware objects can be experienced up close in its Paris boutique, where the Maison’s timeless savoir-faire continues to unfold in all its quiet brilliance.
