Louis Vuitton A truly precious Monogram

An ode to nature, the jewelry and timepieces in Louis Vuitton’s Blossom collection are inspired by the famous Monogram flower. Bringing a delicately feminine, light and fresh touch to these jewels, the flower is like a precious talisman to keep with you always.

Embossed at the end of the 19th century on a series of trunks, for many a year Louis Vuitton’s Monogram flower motif has graced the label’s clothes, shoes, leather goods, luggage, sunglasses… and, most recently, its jewelry. Instantly recognizable anywhere on the planet, this motif has been given a new lease of life in Blossom. But what makes the flowers in this series so special is the fact that the pink, yellow and gray gold petals are set, for the first time, with a hard, hand-sculpted stone. Iridescent gray mother-of-pearl, coppery carnelian and the marbled warmth of tiger-eye add volume to these ultrathin talisman jewels. Just like a flower petal, the jewels in the Blossom collection are infinitely gentle, perfect for everyday wear, and add a poetic touch to any look.

More spectacular still, the Blossom collection now includes a high jewelry line. Louis Vuitton’s four-lobed flower has inspired sixty rings, bracelets and earrings. The result is colorful, cheerful and, at times, reminiscent of the boldest jewelry of the Art Deco period. Louis Vuitton’s gems are exceptional, surprising and, without exception, quite simply stunning.

The expertise of the highly qualified craftsmen and women in Louis Vuitton’s jewelry department, who helped create the collection, is impossible to ignore. Jewelers, setters, polishers, lapidaries, enamellers and sculptors, each has added warmth and harmony to the colors, shape and feel of this collection. Hand sculpted and polished, the curved form of these precious stones and onyx contrasts with fine chains and gray gold mounts. The abstract flower is softened by the sophisticated superimposition of the jewelers’ techniques, and finds expression in the cascade, step and trompe-l’œil effects. The long flowing chains of black onyx and diamonds add volume to each design. A sharp eye will pick out the letter V, a reference to the personal signature of Gaston-Louis Vuitton and the house’s emblematic motif. Set in a circle or diamond shape, the flower of the Monogram embodies both the heritage and the know-how of Louis Vuitton. A blend of harmony and sensuality, the Blossom collection allows one of the great symbols of Louis Vuitton to flower, in a tribute to the true art of jewelry design.
