Laurent de Gourcuff and Romain Taïeb, the “serial restaurateurs” from the Paris Society group, opened this new location in the prestigious Palais de Tokyo. The two owners also invested the square of the former Musée d’Art Moderne to set up a terrace with seating for 180, making a total of 420 place settings when combined with the interior: as grandiose at the monumental architecture! The cuisine is 100% Italian, with a choice of starters such as fried cicchetti like truffle arrancini (€12), or antipasti like the green bean, pistachio and ricotta secca salad (€12), and a selection of “prodotti”, fine Italian products that speak for themselves, like the stracciatella “by the spoon” (€10) or the 24-month Parma ham (€10). Then of course there are the mainstays like pizzas (from €14 to €18), pasta dishes (from €15 to €17), or a veal chop Milanese. Come time for desserts (all priced at €10), it is hard to choose between the tiramisu “gigante” and the red berries with mascarpone. Best to reserve in advance (especially for a table on the terrace)! Cocktails and a snack menu are also available from noon until 2am for tea time or an outdoor aperitivo.
Open daily noon to 3pm and 7pm to 2am. Bar and snacking noon to 2am. Average price: €45
