Created by Erwan Dobbs and his sister Stéphanie, with the help of her husband Philippe Angot for the decor, this new restaurant by the rather quirky name of Le Vaisseau Vert immediately surprised us for it was so dimly lit we could hardly make out the large fresco on one of the walls or read the menu without the help of the small candle on the table, much less distinguish the color of the dishes being served! When we started to ask the manager about the reasons for this – rather obscure – choice, he interrupted us with the explication: here the setting takes precedence over the plate. While at least this bold choice is clear, we nevertheless felt that the fine, creative cuisine of Jérémy Moscovici, former Top Chef candidate, was the restaurant’s main attraction. His original menu changes with the seasons, featuring for example an excellent egg parfait, avocado crushed with olive oil, purple endive salad and siphon of smoked bacon (€12), or a flavorful risotto of creamy Venere black rice, cep mushrooms with garlic confit and crispy Parmesan (€23). Exotic and original dishes that happily lead us to tasty desserts like the verrine of vanilla cream, chocolate ganache and raspberries (€7). Short wine list starting at €27 the bottle, with a few wines available by the glass. Two-course lunch menu at €28 and three courses at €33.
From 12.30pm to 2.30pm and 7pm to 10pm Closed Saturday and Sunday Average price: €45
