The icons of Dior Men
The Dior Icons collection was born in 2023. The will of Kim Jones, creative director of Dior Men, is to design a line of clothes with classic cuts that combines simplicity and sophistication. She draws her inspiration from Dior’s haute couture archives, while bringing a modern and relaxed touch. With this new collection, Dior continues to reinvent the essentials of the men’s wardrobe, as it has already done with the Modern Tailoring capsule in 2020 or the Dior Essentials line.
Each piece of the second Dior Icons opus bears witness, once again, to the exceptional know-how and excellence of the house’s workshops. A selection that offers a timeless wardrobe fed with classic and refined pieces for men wishing to express their personality and style. Here, long coats and wide pants match cashmere pieces like a short-sleeved vest strung on a 3/4 armhole poplin shirt. Here, a beige or navy suit with oversized proportions responds to 100% denim creations like a surveste and five-pocket pants. Further afield, T-shirts in desaturated shades dress in Sea Island cotton while Harrington jackets with XXL pockets are sublimated by a silk blend. Once again, the Dior Icons collection draws a masculine identity embodied by a radical and discreet luxury and characterized by clothes that adapt to all occasions, day and evening. Timeless objects that reveal themselves successively in a neutral color palette, ranging from white to sand, through camel and navy and sky blue. This eternal wardrobe, quintessence of the Dior style, is highlighted by Robert Pattinson. Under the lens of photographer Alasdair McLellan, the actor ambassador and long-time friend of the fashion house brings to life ultra-desirable creations. On some pictures, her outfits are accessorized with bags created in a new leather: Gravity leather. For the Autumn 2024 collection, Kim Jones imagines a new material on which the iconic Dior Oblique pattern unfolds in maxi or mini versions.

Dior Men unveils a new leather called Gravity. Soft and grained, it is embossed with the iconic Dior Oblique pattern. It dresses
a backpack, the flagship shape of recent seasons, the B27 sneakers in urban style sport.
This novelty is the result of a unique embossing technique delicately marking a leather both soft and grained touch thanks to the action of gravity. This aesthetic adorns pieces of small leather goods, bags and sneakers. In a color chart of refined shades such as beige, black and khaki, messenger bag, briefcase or shoulder bag and weekend bags flirt with a belt or card holder. Last objects of desire to be decorated with Gravity leather: the sneakers B33 and B27. The first reinterprets the curves of timeless tennis through a play of volume and a modern silhouette. The seconds, presented on the occasion of the fall-winter 2020-2021 show, are imagined with more urban contours and are a tribute to the world of skateboarding. Dior Icons and Gravity leather express the art of cutting and detail dear to the founder. They are two new emblems of the creativity, constantly renewed, of the house.
