Celebrated shoemaker from Limoges, J.M. Weston has chosen the Marais as the location for its seventh Parisian store, a neighborhood now in the throes of gentrification. Surrounded by a brace of luxury brands, which have also been busily opening outlets here, J.M. Weston moved into no.46 rue des Archives last April. The master shoemaker shares the same mix of tradition and modernity as the neighborhood itself. The store’s designs are displayed in streamlined surroundings created from raw materials, such as wood and cut stone. In addition to the brand’s iconic models, it has a workshop for repairs and a “demi-mesure” service, where customers can place personal orders.
