Gucci : the legendary Jackie
For his first collection at Gucci, new artistic director Sabato de Sarno introduces numerous variations of the legendary Jackie 1961. This model owes its success to one of the most elegant women of the 20th-century: Jackie Kennedy. In 1964, she fell in love with the Hobo created in 1961 by the Florentine house, which would later be renamed after the former First Lady of the United States. Recognizable by its half-moon shape, short handles, and golden clasp, it is designed in red leather verging on burgundy, crafted from precious alligator, or enveloped in a barbed wire-like metallic cage. The handle gives way to an adjustable shoulder strap or a long metal chain on XS models.
