La Terrasse Eden

This season, the Montaigne terrace of the Hôtel Plaza Athénée is called Eden. Inspired by the Hotel Eden in Rome – an emblematic address of the Dorchester Collection – La Terrasse Eden brings to Paris a scent of dolce vita, an Italian escape set in the heart of the 8th arrondissement.

Beneath the iconic red awnings, the show is constant. Eden effortlessly establishes itself as the best spot on the avenue for observing the parade of elegance: personalities out shopping, sharply dressed silhouettes, neighborhood regulars, and passing visitors. One comes as much to enjoy the menu as to watch – and be watched – in an atmosphere that captures, all on its own, the full refinement of Parisian life.

The Roman inspiration can be read in the smallest details. Olive trees, lemon trees, the scent of oregano… the décor immediately evokes southern Italy. The menu extends this immersion with perfectly executed transalpine classics – burrata with confit datterini tomatoes, zucchini flowers with ricotta and pecorino, spaghetti al pomodoro, and octopus alla Luciana.
