Prince de Galles A Parisian fairy tale
The Prince de Galles awakens our inner child by transforming its patio into a fairy garden inspired by Lewis Carroll, renamed Patio des Merveilles until September 15. This architectural jewel, inaugurated in 1929, is already a delight in itself, and it is even listed as a historic monument by the French Buildings for the richness of its pavements, friezes, columns, and pilasters adorned with mosaic.
In this setting, enhanced by dense and fragrant vegetation, one can enjoy the best of Parisian summer, from hot croissants for breakfast to late-night cocktails, thanks to the magi- cians of the place who transform glasses and plates into gourmet delights that are far from an illusion. With a magic shake of his shaker, the head bartender and Meilleur Ouvrier de France, Stéphane Ginouvès, invites us to sip unique cocktails and mocktails throughout the day, while Chef Gérald Poirier unveils a meticulously crafted seasonal menu, with a parade of tapas and summer dishes that magnify our terroir, such as stuffed round zucchinis f rom Nice or lobster in tarragon and saffron bouillabaisse… Not to mention the fine and delicate sweet treats of Pastry Chef Hélène Kerloeguen. Another atmosphere but the same pleasure with the star-studded menu of American-Korean Chef Akira Back, who has chosen the Prince de Galles to establish his first European address, reinventing for the guests of the palace this high-flying Japanese cuisine that has made him famous worldwide (he runs 21 restaurants). Also to be discovered between two business appointments thanks to a special menu to be savored in 45 minutes flat. For its part, the Bar 19.20 celebrates summer by immer- sing us in a country of gastronomic and oenological wonders: ours! Imagined for groups of 4 to 10 guests, Cocktail Experience (by reservation) allows you to discover, initiate, taste and appreciate Parisian and French dishes, beverages and products, in an open kitchen, in contact with chefs, winemakers and small producers (for example, of cognac, the palace offering one of the most beautiful selections in this respect) who will come to reveal their secrets.
