Sympathy for the rhum

To celebrate the 50th anniversary of their legendary stay in Jamaica – where the Rolling Stones recorded Goats Head Soup and its unforgettable anthem Angie – the band has launched its own rum: Crossfire Hurricane. Behind the bottle adorned with the group’s iconic tongue-and-lips logo lies a blend sourced from four Jamaican distilleries. Aged for eight years and crafted according to local traditions without added sugar or artificial flavoring, the rum reveals notes of tropical fruit, chocolate-orange, ripe banana and peach. Good news for aficionados: the bottle is already available at many Paris wine and spirits shops, while the legendary Bus Palladium is dedicating a series of cocktails to it – guaranteed to bring a welcome dose of rock ’n’ roll to the glass.
