Richard Mille A racing machine
As Le Mans Classic celebrates the centenary of the legendary 24 Hours of Le Mans race, luxury watchmaker Richard Mille seizes this momentous occasion to launch its new timepiece – the RM 72-01 Le Mans Classic. From June 29th to July 2nd, the Le Mans circuit has witnessed a grand assemblage of vintage cars. At the same period, the 11th edition of Le Mans Classic, has hosted over 200,000 visitors, becoming an epicenter of motor racing, echoing with the hum of 800 racing cars and a display of 8,500 club cars. Richard Mille, committed to mirroring the values of motor sport, has been associated with Le Mans Classic since 2002. With its sustained presence in racing circuits and support for teams, drivers, and especially women in sport, the brand has cemented its legacy in the automotive world. The brand’s penchant for commemorating each edition of the race with a uniquely crafted timepiece, each dressed in the event’s colors, persists. The RM 72-01 Le Mans Classic continues this tradition, set to join its predecessors as coveted collector’s items. Limited to 150 pieces, the RM 72-01 LMC flaunts a striking blend of green and white Quartz TPT®. In a homage to the endurance race’s traditional start time, the number 16 on the hour counter is highlighted in red. The titanium dial features the chequered flag pattern, symbolizing the jubilation of crossing the finish line. The RM 72-01 LMC represents a fusion of technology and elegance, equipped with Richard Mille’s first flyback chronograph, which utilizes a patented double oscillating pinion clutch mechanism for unmatched performance. This self- winding timepiece offers a power reserve of 50 hours, irrespective of chrono- graph use, rendering it a perfect accessory for everyday wear. Exuding mechanical precision, the RM 72-01 LMC is a fitting tribute to the centenary celebrations of a legendary event, a testament to Richard Mille’s dedication to sporting excellence.
