Seiko highlights traditional japanese craftsmanship

Since its launch in 2016, Seiko’s Presage Craftmanship collection celebrates traditional Japanese craftsmanship with dials created by artists mastering ancient and rare skills. Available in stores from October, the 40,2 mm steel Presage Craftmanship SPB407 pays tribute to the art of lacquer. This watch, powered for the first time by the excellent automatic caliber 6R55 with a 72-hour power reserve, features a dial design covered in dark green Urushi lacquer handcrafted by master lacquerer Isshu Tamura and his team. This delicate yet durable material contrasts with white metal bar indices, ensuring clear readability. This timeless and understated masterpiece, watertight up to 100 meters, is worn on a leather strap closed by a steel folding clasp.
