Gucci takes its luggage to Paris

With the opening of the first (in the world) Gucci Valigeria shop, entirely dedicated to travel accessories, the circle is closed… around the famous Italian label. Owned by the Kering group, the recent announcement of the replacement of its illustrious creative director, Alessandro Michele, by another Italian, Sabato de Sarno, has caused a stir in the world of fashion… However, the house remains forever faithful to its history, especially that of its founder Guccio Gucci (1881-1953), whose vocation would have been born from an experience as a porter at the Savoy Hotel in London, before imagining founding, in 1921, his own artisan luggage workshop in Florence. A century later, in Paris, in a decor inspired by the luxurious wagons of the Belle Époque, the journey continues, but to the taste of the day…
