Bucherer Paris, A month of pure watchmaking pleasure

The city’s largest watch store is offering timepiece enthusiasts the chance to discover the winners of the prestigious Bucherer Watch Award as part of a series of events organized over Watch Month. What better way than a truly timeless experience to end the year?

Specialist multibrand watch and jewelry store, Bucherer, is a magnet for timepiece enthusiasts, who come in their thousands to discover the current collections and recent creations by the thirty-three brands who share this 2,200 sq.m. space devoted to beautiful timepieces. To fully express its distinctive expertise, each brand is assigned its own space and staff are regularly trained to field technical questions from the many specialists who have made this store their second home. You might even say that the attention paid to each visitor changes their relationship with time, something the store’s founder called – almost 130 years ago – “the Bucherer moment”.

Until December 31, visitors will be able to admire Sixty-Five by Oris (on the left) and Excalibur by Roger Dubuis (on the right), two of 32 watches selected by a jury of professionals and experts for the Bucherer Watch Award. The store’s brands have also organized their own exhibitions throughout the store. From the first to third floors, feast your eyes on historical pieces by Longines, Audemars Piguet and Girard-Perregaux, photos by Steve McCurry at Vacheron Constantin, the “Tourbillon case” from Breguet, the Clifton Chronograph Complete Calendar at Beaume & Mercier, and a fascinating glimpse of the past with an assortment of vintage watchmaking tools from Frédérique Constant. You may also like to admire the craft of saddle-makers at Camille Fournet’s workshops, and even order a made-to-measure bracelet. During “Watch month” Bucherer will also invite timepiece enthusiasts to discover an exhibition of designer watches. Selected by Ekaterina Sotnikova, founder of EKSO Watches Gallery, a unique Paris store specialized in the promotion of independent watchmaker artists, it’s a good starting point to explore watches in the Bucherer BLUE EDITIONS collection – a selection of timepieces made exclusively by a handful of watch brands. It’s so tempting you’re unlikely resist for more than a moment or two!
