Saints Pères, the renewal of parisian porcelain
Once fallen into disuse, Paris porcelain has made a spectacular comeback in Saint-Germain-des-Prés with the opening of Saints Pères, a boutique devoted to beautiful tableware. Bowls, vases, and plates (all crafted in a renowned manufactory in the Allier that has also worked with Dior) are given a contemporary twist here by entrepreneur Caroline Petit-Mason in a minimalist boutique where exposed brick meets solid wood. A coffee corner and an olive-oil bar complete the experience, during which visitors can taste exceptional cuvées (by appointment) and then leave with their own endlessly refillable porcelain bottle.
