The hôtel de la Marine comes alive with period balls
In the 19th century, the grand salons of the Hôtel de la Marine hosted lavish balls, including those celebrating the coronation of Charles X in 1825 and Napoleon III in 1866. Two centuries later, the venue shines once again thanks to the Carnets de Bals association, which hosts monthly themed evenings worthy of the most splendid receptions once held there. Festivities take place in the Cour d’Honneur (free access) as well as in the state rooms (evening admission ticket required). Whether you are drawn to the eras of Louis XV and Louis XVI (Friday, April 24), the Liberation of Paris (Friday, May 29), or the Second Empire (Friday, June 26), there is only one rule: dance.
- Period Balls, one Friday per month from 5:30pm. to 8:30pm.
