Paolina Caffè brings Milanese dolce vita to Paris

Following the success of its first location in Sentier on Rue d’Aboukir, Paolina Caffè has now arrived in the Marais, bringing the culture of Milanese counter cafés to Paris. Paolina was the name of founder Nicolò Taillasson’s mother. Born in Milan to an Italian mother and French father, Taillasson grew up inside the café his grandparents opened in 1962 just steps from the Duomo. In Paris, he recreates the rituals of Italian daily life – from morning espresso to evening aperitivo – within an atmosphere that feels both warm and unmistakably elegant. Throughout the day, signature drinks punctuate the rhythm of the café: Pistacchio Dolce Vita, frothy Shakerato, Tiramisu Latte, Freddo Cappuccino and Affogato with vanilla and pistachio. Sweet treats including cannoli and maritozzi make an ideal afternoon indulgence, while evenings are reserved for Negronis and Sbagliatos accompanied by focaccia and bresaola. A little slice of Milanese art de vivre, delicately filtered through a Parisian lens.
