Byblos A legendary address reinvented

For nearly six decades, the Byblos has embodied the very essence of Saint-Tropez living at its most refined. Still owned by the Chevanne family, the legendary palace hotel continues its transformation with remarkable elegance. New suites designed by Laura Gonzalez, a reinvented spa, a state-of-the-art fitness space, renewed culinary experiences and exclusive moments on the sands of Ramatuelle all reaffirm Byblos’s status as an icon that never stands still.

Since opening in 1967, the Byblos has become inseparable from the story of Saint-Tropez itself. Royal families, movie stars, musicians, writers and international personalities have all contributed to the legend of this singular address. Yet behind its global aura lies an atmosphere that remains deeply familial. Passed down through four generations of the Chevanne family, the hotel has preserved a genuine sense of hospitality that sets it apart. Here, service is never theatrical or overly formal. Instead, it is defined by a discreet, deeply personalized attention that makes every guest feel less like a client and more like a longtime friend.

To continue evolving the spirit of the palace, interior designer Laura Gonzalez has imagined twelve Signature Suites inspired by the Mediterranean light. Following the unveiling of four initial suites in 2024, eight additional creations debut in 2026. Throughout the new interiors, Gonzalez introduces luminous palettes dominated by sumptuous shades of deep blue, evoking the ever-changing waters of Saint-Tropez from morning to dusk.

Natural fibers, weathered woods, nautical ropes, handcrafted ceramics, vintage finds and bespoke furnishings come together to create warm, layered spaces where every detail tells a story. More than a decorative exercise, Laura Gonzalez has conceived true living environments – elegant, joyful and deeply rooted in the DNA of Byblos.

At Byblos, gastronomy unfolds as a journey in itself. Beneath the lush new pergola of Il Giardino, executive chef Nicola Canuti celebrates Italy through generous, authentic cuisine inspired by childhood memories and family traditions. Special mention goes to the breakfasts, both indulgent and remarkably healthy.

By day, the scene shifts to the legendary Pampelonne beach and Byblos Beach. Now under the direction of chef Allan Gonthier, the restaurant presents a sun-drenched Mediterranean cuisine where exceptional ingredients are treated with precision and restraint. Outstanding crudos, the catch of the day designed for sharing, lobster, Italian pastas and decadent desserts compose a menu that captures the spirit of a Tropezian summer.

Surrounding the hotel’s iconic, fully redesigned pool, the B. Lounge and its new rooftop Skybar have quickly become among the season’s most desirable destinations. Signature cocktails, sharing plates, live music and a chic yet relaxed atmosphere create a new social hub conceived for lingering summer evenings and dining at any hour.

Recently entirely redesigned, the Spa by Sisley opens a new chapter of its history. Spread across 450 sq.m., the sanctuary combines noble materials, soothing light and exceptional treatments. New reflexology massages, bespoke therapies and rituals designed specifically for men complement an already outstanding wellness offering that includes a hammam, sauna, relaxation areas and the spectacular Cascade with its sensory showers. Wellness continues with the opening of the Byblos Sport Club, a new 100 sq.m. fitness studio equipped with the latest Technogym innovations and offering entirely personalized coaching programs.

Between its legendary heritage, ambitious renovations and singular sense of hospitality, Byblos remains in a category of its own within the world of luxury hospitality. A place where refinement is never ostentatious, where elegance and conviviality coexist effortlessly, and where every stay becomes a collection of unforgettable memories.

Over the decades, the charm of the Byblos has never faded. Guests return for its unique atmosphere, its iconic swimming pool, and the delicious Italian restaurant, Il Giardino. This year, they will enjoy the new Skybar with its amazing view.
