Take a summer trip to the Mediterranean on the temporary terrace at the Park Hyatt Paris-Vendôme. Around the central fountain in traditional stone, among the sun-drenched lemon trees and beneath the antique wrought-iron pergolas enlaced with cascading roses that unfurl their delicate scent, guests are whisked away on a taste-filled journey to the Amalfi coast. Chef Jean-François Rouquette teamed with the Naples Pizza Academy to create a fine selection of pizzas prepared in keeping with Neapolitan tradition. Baked in a Scugnizzo Napoletano oven, renowned for its cooking quality, they are made with heirloom flour and fine Italian ingredients: Piennolo del Vesuvio tomatoes, summer truffles with a delicate hazelnut flavor, etc. The chef has also included some of his summer creations on the menu, such as the sea bass carpaccio with olive oil and finger lime or the grilled sea perch with tomato sauce and fennel confit with citrus rind. Impossible to resist the limoncello baba or cool stracciatella ice cream for dessert… Get a foretaste of the warm Italian sun without leaving Paris. La Piazzetta is sure to be this summer’s hot spot.
